Do you get the feeling the world has been weird lately?
Do you think that politics isn’t really working the way it’s supposed to? Or that the media are not completely living up to their task?
Do you think there are conversations that we should be happening, and that don’t seem to be happening anywhere?
Do you feel you would like to change something but that you don’t know where to start?
Worse: did you ever refrain from expressing an opinion by fear that this opinion may not be well received?
If your answer is yes to any of these questions, you are not alone. In fact, there is thousands and thousands of people like you, like me, like us.
Lately, something very interesting started to happen: a new form of discussion is emerging. A discussion where people are willing to sit together, and listen. A discussion where people can express their opinions, and disagree without being shout at. A discussion where people are willing to risk changing their mind in face of a better argument. A discussion through which everyone hopes to get a better glimpse at the truth, and to become a little bit wiser.
A handful of these people are starting to win the day. Their following is impressive, and a lot of mainstream media or pundits would love to have this kind of traction. One of them even coined an expression to name this growing group of thinkers who don’t operate in the usual plain mediatic light, but in an “intellectual dark web”.
Unless you follow them already carefully, you may not have a global picture of the whole conversation. Because the conversation happens publicly, but in places where you need to know that it is already happening.
The goal of this website is to you give you an entry point to the conversation, and to give you a chance to join in. By reading about these people, by being exposed to new ideas, by joining in discussions about important matters, you will participate in a conversation that may truly change the West.
